When working with The Stiz, there are two ways we offer our mixing. When you book a recording session with us, your songs are typically mixed and mastered on the spot, after each song is finished being tracked. If you aren\’t local to our area or you recorded your songs elsewhere (a smaller studio or your bedroom/basement), we can mix and master those recordings to give a professional, polished and full sound.
Young enough to know what sounds good, old enough to know how to make it happen.
Session mixing
The most efficient mix and ultimately the best quality comes when we mix tracks recorded in our studio. Naturally, the custom setup of our top of the line gear and the ability to record and organize tracks with a final mix in mind leads to a much smoother process when we get to the mixing stage.
Online mixing
If you\’ve recorded (or attempted to mix) your own songs, and were unhappy with the final product, there is still hope to getting a professional sound. You can send your tracks to us for flat rate mixing and mastering. Once you send us the wave files or Pro Tools session files, we begin work on creating a professional, high quality mix and master.
Changes to your mix
Once you take your song(s) home, you may decide you have minor changes you want to make. We call these changes \”Minor Tweaks\” since they should be relatively quick changes like level/volume adjustments or removing specific ad libs on a vocal track. We provide one round of tweaks as part of our typical service. If your project is being recorded in-studio, these changes are typically made at the beginning or end of your next studio session. If there are time constraints or other deadlines, minor changes can often be made at our convenience and emailed back within 1-3 days.
