Pro Sound Recordings

The Stiz Recording Studio is primarily a hip-hop and rap recording studio, though we are experienced and often involved with many artists and styles including rappers, emcees, singers, songwriters, musicians, voice overs, audiobooks, poetry & spoken word.

Tracking

A gorgeous, intimate, combination live/control room with fully adjustable lighting creates the mood you need to perform your best. A fully soundproofed vocal booth with a glass door and \’talk-back\’ provides comfortable, hassle free communication and a clear, upfront vocal sound.

Editing

Our system and skills provide fast, thorough, sample accurate digital editing with a powerful Pro Tools HD system. Extra tools including Autotune, Vocalign, Beat Detective and others provide powerful, wave manipulation editing.

Mixing

We offer stereo HD Pro Tools mixing with an array of popular high end plug-ins and hardware from top companies like Waves, McDSP, Empirical Labs, Massey, Sound Toys and Antares.

Antares Auto-tune is available to tighten up melodies and harmonies while keeping the voice sounding natural, or it can be dialed in and cranked to give you the T-Pain effect.

Mastering

Mastering at The Stiz is done “In The Box” for punchy, loud, high quality 16 or 24 bit Wave, Mp3 or AIF files. All our mastering is done within Pro Tools HD using top quality, industry standard plugins. Mastering will give your mixes the final boost and polishing it needs to be ready for cd/radio/tv.

Pricing may be included hourly with the mix or per song for dedicated mastering jobs.

Voice Over

A high end, industry standard Neumann U87 mic or a broadcast standard Shure SM7b paired with a Great River ME-1NV or a Sytek solid state preamp will give you the clear, full sound you need to make your demo or radio spot sound perfect.

Karaoke Recording

We can help find out how good you can really sound when working in a professional recording studio with a producer that\’s easy to work with to help you sound as good as the original. Sing over backing tracks usually downloaded online from Amazon, iTunes, or other various karaoke related sites.

Web Design

The Stiz now offers website design. Mostly designing and developing in WordPress, we can give you a website that not only looks great, but is extremely functional. We build sites from simple 2-3 pages up to large business sites with custom functionality and display. All of our sites are now mobile (iPhone/Android) and tablet (iPad/Slate/etc) friendly by utilizing \”Responsive Design\”.

We can integrate a show/event calendar, audio, music sales, user upload-able photo albums, a blog, social (Facebook, Twitter, Google +, etc) integration into your website to give you the online representation that you need and deserve as a recording artist in todays times.
