Our typical studio session workflow

A typical studio session starts with a 2-track or tracked out beat. We load the beat into our powerful Pro Tools HD system, lock the tempo into Pro Tools, and setup the tracks to record. Next, the artist goes into the booth for a quick soundcheck. We get headphone, track, preamp and compressor levels setup during a scratch take and move on to laying down tracks.

During the recording process our Engininja cuts up tracks, tweaks plugins, and gets the preliminary mix almost complete before the artist even steps out of the booth. After the artist is done laying down his/her tracks, they come out of the booth and we mix and master the song right then and there.

Mixing & Mastering is included

Many artists ask if there is additional fee for mixing and mastering. The simple answer is \”No\”. Because of our years of experience and the custom, precision setup of our gear, we are able to greatly reduce the time it normally takes to mix and master a hip-hop song.
